Membership

Cobbetts Membership Fees 2009/2010The annual membership fee is due at the AGM each November. £25 for adults £10 for juniors£15 for associate members

All members old and new are invited to attend Tuesday club nights and all other club events. Family and friends are most welcome at club social events and, of course, to come and try petanque. However if, after 2 or 3 come and try sessions, they want to keep coming we would be obliged to ask them to join. This is to ensure that they are covered by insurance.

EPA/SCPA Licence Fees 2009/2010 This runs for a year from March 1st 2009.Adults £16 (of which £4 is paid to the SCPA)Juniors £5 (of which £2 is paid to the SCPA)Cadets and Minors £3 (All paid to the EPA)

The club runs two 6-a-side teams which are intended to encourage new players by playing them alongside more experienced members. See proposed squads for the 2009 season. The 9-a-side team is slightly more serious with the captain striving to pick the 'best' team available - whatever that might be! An EPA licence is required to play in league matches.

A licence is also required to play in national, regional and the majority of club open competitions - although some club competitions allow non-licensed players if the club has their own insurance. Anybody can enter any of these events, just find youself a partner for doubles or two if it is triples! Flyers for all competitions are posted on the club noticeboard - please let one of the committee know if you want further details of any event or if you are looking for a team to play in.

Members are welcome to play on the Burridge terrain at any time although if access is required to the car park, pavilion or floodlights when the club is not in use then one of keyholders will need to be contacted. See list During the winter months the club is open Sunday lunchtime and every evening except Thursday and Saturday.

Terrain Fees A contribution of £1 is asked for at every club night. This was to help raise £2000 to repay the floodlight loan. This has been repaid and the money is now for on-going terrain maintenance.
